The Society organises two seminars at locations across the UK and an Annual General Meeting. Each seminar explores a specific theme with contributions from former RAF personnel from a wide range of specialisations, professional researchers and anyone with an interest in RAF history.
Previous events have included: Bomber Command, The Falklands Campaign, the RAF and Nuclear Weapons 1960-1998, Air Navigation, Air Transport, Reserve and Auxiliary Forces and the RAF Regiment. In addition, we have held a number of seminars exploring the history of individual aircraft.
Details of our upcoming events can be found on our calendar and we look forward to welcoming you in the future.
The proceedings of past seminars, AGM papers and original research on RAF history are published in our journals.
Through the Henry Probert Bursary, we offer a post-graduate grant of up to £1000 for Service personnel or students who will add to the historiography of the RAF.
Through the generous donations of previous members, we are currently able to support other charities committed to preserving the history of the RAF.
